This Tutorial is on How To Make Mummies: I Made Both Guy and Girl Mummies:

Things You will need:
1-Pair Playtex Gloves                                        Lg. White Trash Bags                                                
2- lg rolls Clear Packing Tape                            Newspaper for Stuffing 
1- Foam Wig  Head                                           1- Skull Mask
8-yds of Cheese Cloth                                     Coffee or Dark Tea for stain ( No Herbal )
4-6 plastic bags for the Store                           Wig & Costume Jewelry

1-10' PVC Pipe 1/2" Diameter                           1- 4way connector 1/2" diameter

2-3' long re-bar if you want him to stand.           1- " T " connector 1/2" diameter

4- 45% connectors 1/2" diameter                     2- 90% connectors 1/2" diameter

1- Large Christmas Candy Cane                      1- Tassel & Gold Wrapping Paper

Screws & Screw Driver                                   Scissors

Chicken Wire & Duct Tape                               Tin Snips

3 cans of Great Stuff                                       Gloves -for you

1/2" diameter pipe Insulator hose for winterizing your pipes

Let's Begin:

Make You Frame first cut each of the following: 1- neck piece approx 8" long, 2- shoulder pieces approx 4" long, 2- Upper arms 5" Long, 2- Lower arms approx 6" long, 1- torso pole approx 26" long, 2-Hip pieces approx 4" long, and 2 Leg poles.. Once you have all the pieces cut start to put it together. By pushing the pipe pieces into the correct connectors.

Drill holes in the connectors into the pipe and put screws into hold in place.. Once the have the frame together it will be time for the body..

The Body:

Using your Chicken Wire and Duct Tape fashion a Torso for your Mummy..cover The chicken wire completely. Do 2 -3 layers of Duct tape. Nipping and tucking till its looks like a torso. You may need help for this part.. Cut a seam up the back of the torso and slide the upper half of the pipe frame into the torso. Cut arm holes for the connectors to come out of and mount the head on the neck pole. And reseal seam with Duct Tape.. Now it is time to use your Great Stuff..

Please Wear Gloves and Be Careful Great Stuff DOES NOT come off skin and clothes !!!

spray the Great Stuff in straight lines filling the torso. when this sets up turn over and do the other inside area.

Once you Have done the inc=side of the body all over with your Great Stuff and it has dried Put the Bottom half of the frame on, screw in place..

The Arms :

Put your arms of your dummy together and crew the connectors in the pose that you want your mummy to have..If you want the mummies  arms to cross . Then You will need to omit the connectors and drill and hole with your drill about 1/8" from the end of the PVC pipe going through both sides. Do this to The upper arm and the lower arm and take a zip tie make a loop through the Upper arm and join the the Lower arm with another one .Making like a figure 8..Interlocking the zip ties. Then Put the Black Pipe tubing on the arm and trim off at end of pipe.

                                                                                                         

The Hands:

Take the Playtex Gloves and turn them inside out. And stuff with newspaper and duct tape to the correct arm ends.. If you want to add elbows use your small store bags and ball in to a wad and duct tape in place on each arm.

The Legs:

Slide the Black tubing On the leg poles and if you want knee caps ball up a small store bag and duct tape in place on both legs.. This just leave the feet.You can fashion your feet out of chicken wire and duct tape. and leave a hole in the bottom of the foot so the  PVC pipe can pass through it.. or you can make feet by using a store bag filled with newspaper and tape in place.. Shape the foot so it looks like a  left or right foot.

                                                                                                    

Mummy Wrappings:

Cut your cheese cloth in 2" strips and about 4' long. Do The whole 8 yards like this.. Once you have made the strips soak them with HOT coffee in your bucket for about 2 hours. stirring them so you make sure all the cheese cloth gets wet. Make the level of the coffee high enough in the bucket so all the material is covered. Then Hang to dry DO NOT RINSE OUT..

TO Wrap:

Start at the head and work your way down over lapping the edges of the strips of cheese cloth.. Work in a criss cross pattern were you can for more of a Mummy look. working the wig and face mask in the strips as you wrap. and the jewelry too. Do Not Cover the hole of  pvc pipe that are in the feet..

Set Up :

If you want your mummy to stand hammer the re-bar into the ground and slide the pvc pipe down over the re-bar. Hammer the re-bar in the ground level with the height of the hips..
